percent of Vietnamese people are "positive" about South Korea thanks to
the hallyu phenomenon, a survey showed on Sunday.
research firm Q&Me found this in a survey of 917 adults, with 37
percent having a "very positive" image of Korea.
about the "first thing that comes into your mind when thinking of
Korea," 42 percent said "Korean food," followed by K-pop (21 percent)
and Korean films (11 percent).
eight percent of the respondents were positive about Korean food with 32
percent "very positive." Kimchi was their most favorite Korean food (58
percent), followed by gimbap (21 percent) and tteokbokki (13 percent).
Sixty eight percent also "love to watch Korean films or dramas" with 25 percent "loving it very much."
of the Sun" was the favorite Korean drama there (13 percent), followed
by "Boys Over Flowers" (13 percent), "Empress Ki" (7 percent) and High
Kick! (7 percent).
K-pop was another
popular genre, with 51 percent of respondents saying they "like to
listening" to K-pop songs and 20 percent "loving it so much."
BTS was the most popular K-pop band (15 percent), followed by BIGBANG and G-Dragon (12 percent) and BLACKPINK (9 percent).
